I'm looking for soft which

- can be control by midi/usb
- get line in of sound card as source
- apply effect in real time.

ive tried with reason yesterday but i cant find how get the line in as source.

a friend told me that i can use cubase, but i really dont know how, is it possible ? if yes,
can you give me some words to start my research on google

Depending on what results you seek, what you are trying to accomplish, the scope of you needs in the long term, and then your budget, the following software comes to mind:

Ableton Live Version 5 [Mac and PC] live djing, remixes, and production capabilities.
Cubase [Mac and PC] commonly used for comprehensive music production and mixdowns
Logic [Mac] also used for advanced composition, production, and mixdowns

The above allow you to control effects in real time using MIDI signaling over USB or MIDI IN/OUT. They all are able to route the source inputs and outputs of your sound card.

Keep in mind that you will likely purchase plug-ins later on for your effects and sound generation. However, the above come with great tools built in already.

Read a lot and do the research before you buy your software. Soak it up a bit unless you have a lot of cash to burn. Good luck!
