depends on the technique used to record the source and what the source, or sources are.

as you probably realize, using a laser (or a digital head) defeats the purpose of imaging an analog source stricly from an acoustical purity standpoint of reproduction.

in this case, a laser is used for destruction free archival.

so how clean does it have to be? lol
