Fruity users help needed.
I just need to know how to turn the piano roll back into the pattern sequencer on an individual track. For some reason Fruity has decided to turn all my percs into piano roll and it is sooo frustrating!
Thx.

Nah, its not the skin, although cheers for replying. All I need to do is know how to turn back notes from being in the piano roll to being in the standard pattern sequencer, its that simple, but if you don't know it, it isn't. lol

If it's what I think you mean...see if there are any notes in that piano roll and if there are delete/transfer them. Once all notes are gone from the piano roll, then it should bring you back to the pattern sequencer.

IS there no way to turn them back into the pattern sequencer then as these are percs and I would need to program the patterns again. For some reason FL6 decided to turn them into piano roll and I have no idea why!

It can't take THAT long to transfer them back into patterns. Just take let's say your CH and shakers and transfer them to a different pattern. Then after that, just delete the old one.

The problem is that if I do a cut and paste, they will still be in the piano roll as they are there now. So there is no way to change back to the pattern sequencer from piano roll then?

I've just had a look through the flfstudio bible and it mentions no way of doing this. Was there any reason you need to change them back?

I think you should post a picture because this discussion isn't going anywhere without knowing exactly what you mean. ;P

It's easy enough for me to understand with less than 10 hours of fruity experience!
It is very easy. He used the trigger buttons on some samples(/channels) and in some strange way fruity made those channels into piano roll channels. So instead of a trigger button a note gets triggered on the piano roll (probably c4). Anyway, I've never heard of any way to transform it back, but then again I've only worked with fruity for a very limited period of time. And that was more than enough for me as well :P
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

Yes, because I prefer percs being in the pattern sequencer form (buttons), rather than the piano roll, so as I can see exactly which hits are where in the groove. Heres a pic for you to see what I mean (As it is now, and how I need it to be).
I want to change back to the standard trigger buttons rather than the piano roll as it is right now.

i didnt check the pic out, but if you're talking about what i think you're talking about...
...then you have to do what someone else mentioned above, delete whatever is in ur piano roll, that will clear it. then u'll have to manually re-enter the pattern in your step-sequencer. that's the only solution i know of.
