Re: Big thanks to all the NYTAs....

Ok so the weekend of debauchery is over and I am safely back below the Mason/Dixie line! This was my mini-WMC weekend and boy was it ever!!! I just wanted to write a quick note to all the NYTAs and TOTAs that I met and say thanks for such a great weekend. It is sad to say that I do not remember everyone that I met, hell half the weekend I could not even remember who I was or where I was, but I do thank all for your hospitality and crunked out nature...
Highlights from the weekend:
S.I. Ferry beers rock... So do beers on the side of the street in lower Manhattan at 8:00am on a Saturday!
Corbar is epic... But learn to make a drink for a change! You are a bartender in NYC for god sakes!
PVD @ Roseland Ballroom was off the wall. I can quite honestly say I have never seen anything like it!
NYC pizza.... That is about all I ate all weekend but boy was it good!!
Low points of the weekend:
Walking 15 miles around the city to get to the closest train station! How the fuck do you people live without a car is beyond me but I know why your asses are so skinny! I have valet parking at the supermarket and like it that way!
The bouncers at the clubs. Talk about some dicks, first you take my skittles and then you give me a hard time about having shit that lights up?!? Fucking Wallies I tell you!!!
Jersey Shore boys, FOBs, Candy Kids, and Lee Hotties... Talk about a change in crowd from home. Wait I have to take Lee Hotties off that list... At least their short skirts and Bra tops made for less of a need to hit the strip club!
Ok now time for the Thank you:
First and foremost to Kapt. Krunked and the Staten Island Mouth (Jay and Meredith): I love you guys. That is about all I can say to that. Even though you only let me get 9 hours of sleep all weekend and made me eat more drugs then any one human should, you are always welcome in my house. (sooner then later I hope!) I can not tell you how much I needed and enjoyed this weekend and how much fun I had with you guys!
Drew, Alysa, Fran, Kelly, PACO, and the rest of the people that I can not name right now... I did not get as much time to get to know everyone as I had hoped but, Golly Gee, You guys were swell!!! If ya'll ever come down to these parts, you are always welcomed and I owe you a good time!
Thanks again to everyone and I hope to see ya'll for my new monthly residency in NYC again in April. Ok time to finish catching up on my sleep!!! |
def had a great time meetin and partyin it up with you. TTYL lol

Thanks for visiting! Glad you had a great time.
Oh for the record, if anyone wants to spread the word... If you're talking about them giving you a hard time about things that light up... it isn't the bouncers, it's PVD.
He specifically requests that none of that be allowed at his parties. PVD takes an anti-drug stand and I'm assuming that those things are quite representative of drug use, and I guess he doesn't want them at his parties. One of the female security guards was telling me that it's PVD not Roseland that doesn't want them, and that they were all told specifically to not allow people to use them. |
If that's true, he should probably cut the lasers from his shows, too, because what's the difference?

Ah damn man my post got erased from the whateverthehellhappened... I dunno if you read it, but the way I look at that, lasers are a part of other concerts too, when I saw Metallica they had lasers and those big photon things that look like little black R2D2's.
Yea they may be trippy if you're on drugs, but they definately add to the atmosphere. I mean I was totally sober that night, I didn't even drink, and I thought they were awesome ya know, people like 'em sober. But I'm yet to see a sober person that's like OH MAN CAN YOU WAVE THOSE CRAZY LIGHTS IN MY FACE!!! You know what I mean? If you're doing that, you're definately mangled.
