I just get a new set when they look beat....
Do you leave the top covers off when you arent using them? The only time my mats are exposed is when Im actually using them. Is this something that happens to you often. Ive seen mats last a few years before really looking like hell. Ive had a new set waiting for my current mats to get tossed for 3 years.

i dont have actual covers...i just use towels to put over my tables when they're not in use. perhaps its time to invest in an actual dust cover maybe?

A lint brush to remove fibers and such from clothes usually does a nice job... Either that or just take the slipmat off and rub it off against your shirt.

Sounds like the towels are the cause of most of the lint. The covers arent cheap but it keeps it all protected. Maybe using some packaging tape could pull a lot of that crap off in the meantime.

I would just brush them off with the brush used for records, like dust and such. I wouldn't have had to worry about that if i had techs because they come with dust covers, so your slipmat shouldn't have to be cleaned often...

I have the esdjco slipmats and I just use a sticky roller/pet hair remover to get the dust and fibers off. Works well.
