I've been reading and searching on it, and see that it has lots to offer, (i'm not realy interested in the newest video card, cause my mobo doesn't have pcie) and i'm seeing it has the tv in and fm tuner, but i don't understand what else does it have or is it the tv in a coaccial connector or an RCA one, it says it can support 2 monitors (wich is great too) but i'm not really sure if its really two monitors or you can put the svdeo out as a second one as I can do with my old 9200, I would like to have some feed back on the features from ppl that have the video card, to see if its worth the $$.
specially on the extra features... |
I own a x800xt AIW, before I say anything else, checkout this site for a detailed pictures of what comes in the box (Probably answer alot of your questions). Click Here
So yea, pretty much to answer what you are asking...it has both RCA's and coaxial as inputs, even Svideo as input. It has RCA's and Svideo as outputs as well. When they mean can support 2 monitors, they really mean two monitors as you can see in the site...it has 1 vga and one dvi. I owned a 9800 All in wonder before this one, so the features werent really new to me...maybe the radio but i never use it. Personally, since I live in the dorms, it makes for a great space saver, because I can watch tv, play dvds, rip vhs , etc all with this card, and still play some of the latest games at really high settings. BUT, there are better values out there especially if you just want to play games.

Not really, im interested in watching tv on my computer too, since I have allmost everything connected to my computer anyways, and don't have a tv myself, and also the video card I have right now is a ati 9200 so most games play really bad. so its as I thought regarding the 2 monitor dysplay you would have to have a DVi monitor, (wich I don't have) anywayz thanx man, i'll be looking to get the video card

but the amount of money you spend on either card you might as well drop the extra cash to redo your mobo and go pcie
i have an AIW 9600XT AGP for sale if you want it - now that i think about it, i should just keep it lol...but if ur interested drop me a PM i'll mull it over. And by the way, I'm still using a TI4200 on an AMD Box which acts as my MCE. the TI4200 uses VGA to connect to a 40" Sony HDTV LCD and the resolution is perfectly fine although my amd box can't handle graphic intensive games, the video and processor just bogs down but i rarely play games on that video card/computer.
I was thinking about going with a 7800GS which is easily 250+ and only AGP. If you think about it, another 100-150 you get yourself a nice DFI mobo with pcie and pay literally the same for a pcie video card...to me its worth the upgrade because in the long run pcie will be the standard...although some argue AGP competes just as well, i beg to differ |
Yea for sure, but totally depends on your budget, couple days ago I saw a x850xt PE PCI-E going for about 150 on newegg, that would be totally worth it, but in the end you are still spending more raw cash. As an investment, you have my support
