nice full bass.. reminicent of extrawelt -soopertrack on border community..

percs sound cool. turn em up tho.. beef up the bassdrum!!

guitar synth - this is wicked! far too loud for the mix. it hurts the riff is cool. groovy and ear catching.


vocal is nice too. fits well. jeese turn the guitar down tho

new arped synths- these also cool. i really like the mix of sounds, they work well.

overall work on the mixdown and levels and find a gruff voiced rock singer to do a gritty vocal..

refreshing and something i have not ever heared something like.

keep it up and get it polished.

yea this guy always reviews peoples work and only a few respond to his but what can you do about it.

pretty much agree with rich on this. defiantely need to look at your mixing levels, make sure you have your mixing levels correct before your mixdown.

again your sounds are good as i told you before you have a unique style, keep that up.

thanks for the listens. I know it's a little off the beaten path, heavy metal + trance. But it appeals to me.

Rich what's funny is that soopertrack by extrawelt is one of my favorite tracks. In fact, you must be a mind reader, as I swear to god I actually listened to that very track before I opened up my sequencer to write this.

Thank you djkane for your open mind and ears. I am using tips by you and others to improve my sound quality a little. I'm learning less is more and to leave space for sound. I still tend to fall in love with certain sounds and mix them unevenly though.

ohh...the mixdown is very bad, big level diference. also check you panning it's annoyng sometimes. i agree the sounds are really good. this could be alot better with better mixdown and better arangement. also u should add more elements, it's a bit too repetitive and it doesen't go anywhere.

Your mixing needs a lot of work. Pay attention to your levels.

Using Slayer? Lol. It sounds like it.

Your drums are far too quiet compared to everything else, once again, watch levels. My advice, drop one of your favorite tracks in the timeline along with your sequencer and make it SOUND like that track (where the drums are at in level etc) you'll find yourself with a nicer mix.

This has some interesting potential. Weird I was just talking about butt-rock goa. This isn't though.

I will agree it needs some more elements. This sounds like a great experimentation track. Perhaps starting from scratch might be good idea.

And your panning is also a little weird. Drums are really to the right.



Keep up the work. But I think you could definately use more "pick up" in this track. Needs some work.

The drums would do well to be centered.

The slayer sounds a bit cheesy IMO.

Trippy acid and other synths are pretty neat.

As said before, the mixing is subpar. It's a track with potential, but it's not there yet. Most importantly, I think you should get a real guitarrist or learn it yourself.

If that is a real guitarist, you need to find a way to make it sound less fake.

I used to use soopertrack as my "ideal track" which is why I play it before I write. So I will now try to match the mix. Very interesting exercise. The mix is bad I know.

Also, I need to fix the panning problem.

Yes it's slayer. I play the guitar midi, but the expression synth is slayer which I know blows. What is a better guitar VST?? PLEASE everyone bitches about slayer even fl freaks. I don't want to use the midi guitar, I just use the midi guitar to enter notes, actually all my notes even the keyboard or acid parts. But I want a guitar synth so I can flip it instantly to a "tripped out" part and back and forth.

I am glad people liked the acid parts. Since that's really the deal anyway! Trance! But I will probably make more metal fusions because I like that part of my past.

So three BIG questions:
1)Best guitar VST?
2)How did I get such extreme panning when I didn't put it there? Are my sample sounds mono or panned?
3)Best graphical tool to assist mixing? Is there any aid?

It sounds decent, but as feqs said, ur issue it is the mixdown, above all the levels, other than that I dont really know this genre so I dont have any other sugesstion from my amateur sight .
