[Melodic] Shore of Solitude (soundclick) - clip

I don't have alot of time for production this season, but I finally grabbed some of my sleep time.

I posted only a clip of the track, because the rest of it was too rushed for comfort. I do not like the way the remainder turned out.

Shore of Solitude (My Band Page)

Do you like the melody? It's a little complicated for trance -- did I pull it off? Actually, a vocalist might be more fitting than a synth-guitar, don't you think?

Hey.... I really like this!!! The first part of melody is good with the gorgeous chord changes, not so sure about the end of the melody though (after 2:25 ), itīs difficult to keep along with it.

Thereīs a nice calm atmosphere in the track with all of the ambient sounds. The guitar fits also well but it could have maybe little bit more delay to make it fit better in the mix. You have to finnish the track!!!

Aghhh! Sleep is robbed of me again...

I'll try to do the things you suggested. Delay for one, good point, and taken. The chord changes, hmmmmm... yeah, the melody could be a little complex to follow.

My plan is to have move the extra-extra melodies during the breakdown. However, I really did want those high-harmony chords during the trance beat, and I needed that minor-key transition for that. Therefore, I'm kindof stuck, musically... I'm really gonna have to ponder that one.

Hey... concerning melodies I think that you shouldnīt think too much about other people`s opinions, just do it how it sounds the best for you!! You have to trust your instincts

had to play this when i saw ibiza on your band page as i am going there in june

sounds belearic form the start so ats a good start. bass fits in well there. this track is actually a good listen as it progresses.

the melody at 1:56 i dont like sort of ruined a nice track. made it too commercial. change that to a good sounding synth and i want a copy of this. try to keep the belearic feel to it. listen to tracks from agnelli and nelson from 1998, cafe del mar etc and get ideas. i was enjoying that and you cut it off.

good work

That's 2 votes against the melody. To tell you all the truth, that melody is from a piano-piece that I'm composing for the hell of it. It's more classical, hence not mixing very well.

I'm gonna give that a serious overhall.
