I'm starting out to DJ in the trance genre.
I already have 100 records and i'm using turntables.
I need the ffg info :
How long should I practice each day and for how long before I can hit the clubs (Rough idea) and what techniques should I practice in the first month and what techniques should I practice from there on.
Please help.
Thanks
Your future DJ in need

DJ'ing would be easy indeed if there were true answer to such questions. Some people learn quicker than others, some people never get a club gig even if they're better than many who do.
everyone learns at thier own pace, it can be 6 months it could be 12 months or 3 years till your comfortable enough to do a decent show. Me - personally i never "practice"...i DJ for fun - alot, as long as you do that you'll just contiuously get better and better...then consider booking a place.

Sitting in my bedrom DJing and listening to the music I love. What could be better? It's not practise. Hell, if school was this fun, I'd be an A-student any day.
I just cannot wait until i get my cdj's. From that point on i wil have absolutely no life...

First and foremost: PRACTICE SCRATCHING!!! Even if you don't all out battle, you'd be impressed on how much this will help your mixing, and timing too. it will also give you more confidence to try out your ideas, to help drop samples and beats.
This will make your overall set unique in itself.
As for a timeframe of when you're ready to play out...are you up to your OWN standanrds?? are you creating the sound the way you hear it in your mind, and feel it in your soul??
When you're towards that, you're ready. You will know young padawan..

Record your mixes. It will help you improve the flow of your mix a great amount. Listen to how it sounds, then try to make adjustments to improve the flow of your mix.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Many EDM DJs think scratching is worthless for them since they'll never really use it when playing out. But man, it has helped me a lot. In fact, I took a few months and completely stopped mixing EDM altogether. Went straight to hip-hop and just had fun learning to scratch. I'm back into EDM again (although mostly House this time around ) and it helped me a ton.

Another great suggestion. Record everything. Even if you only mix 2 records. Even if it's just you fucking around on your decks--it doesn't matter. You're guaranteed to pick up something useful from your recordings.
