Flyer : [uplifting trance 135bpm]

Hi,

This is a sample of my latest tune for feedback. i'm focusing more on melodic aspects and realise its not finished.

I was also wondering if cookie-cutter trance is still popular?

--> flyer <-- (4mb, mp3)

thx for listening

I like it, the melody is cool.
But the samples and synth patches are very basic and sound dated.
Try using a kick with more punch and less 909ish.
Imo, there's lots of potential in this track, you just need to work on the sounds a bit more.

cool track, like the bassline, maybe it could be beefed up with a bit more low end
think the kick is lacking as well, not thumping enough
1.44 - not sure about the high pitched noise??
but i still like it, good stuff

Hey...

Nice dreamy pads...The sounds are generally a bit dated what makes the whole mix sound amateurish. The kick should have more thump and imo the hihat is too loud. Itīs a good effort, especially the melodies are nice but unfortunately in trance the sound aspect is sooo important. Good work... itīs a good base for further development.

Cheers, Lakeus

fruity fanatics

Thx for your reply, its sounds weak becuase its the first time I just used Fruity Loops Producer 5, I normally use Nuendo and was just experimenting with different software.

i find fruity very quick to get a result (this song to ok me 2hrs!)but like u all say the sounds are weak (but quite tight), although i expect fruity fanatics/pro's can get better sounds out of it.

I guess i just have to re-build the song in Nuendo and give to some guts!

thx u all.

it does sounds nice but lacks drive. you need something in there thats going to carry this track and push it through.

nice sounds though!
