Why the condescending attitude, Te Ka ?

Rest assured that the focus of Happy Bastards / Mayhem parties is great vibe and fun party atmosphere and not superstar DJs who cost a fortune just for a few hours of playing records.

Wink

Im just playin' I love big Djs, this is true, but I have nothing against local parties and Djs. There is some good talent around here and it is a big part of the scene. But big Djs are payed the most because they are the best, most of the time.

I wish there was more trance... I'm not even sure if Scott Stubbs still plays trance or has he moved onto progressive like every other DJ... ah well, gonna be a good party, nonetheless.

Crave: Kristoff will be playing a hardtrance / acid trance set (if he doesn't I'll do evil things to him ... hahaha) and I'll be putting on some goa/psy. So no shortage in the Trance department. Also, David Stone, Derkin and Greg Wynn will be covering your flufftrance needs, I believe.

PARTY HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to poor ticket sales. Here's the official announcement from Crunchee:

quote:

Well nobody seems to learn that the days are over when promoters will risk $50,000 on a party when ticket sales are low. Due to the fact that Warm & Fuzzy tix are out selling Mardi Gras tix 3:1, we have no choice but to cancel Mardi Gras.

The Organ Donors will now play at Majestik on friday, March 1st. This will be a night not to be missed. Trust me when I tell you that the line up for Mardi Gras would have blown you away. You can rescue some of it by coming to Majestik next friday and catching these guys in action.

Scott Stubs will now play with David Stone at Majestik on Saturday, March 2nd. Again you'd be a fool to miss this guy in action.

DJ Nitro will be here soon, hopefully not next weekend but I will announce that when I have more info.

Anabolic Frolic is cancelled.

IF YOU BOUGHT MARDI GRAS advance tix, don't worry. We will be offering a FULL REFUND. This refund is available from Shelly at Majestik. It will also entitle you to free cover on the night that you show up for your refund (except special events, on which nights you will get half of the cover). Thanks for buying advance and sorry for the inconvenience but if more people bought advance this party would be happening.

That's about it for now. We lost a ton of money as usual and Mayhem, United and the Happy Bastards are probably down to 1 party each a year. It's too risky nowadays. Make sure you get a Warm & Fuzzy ticket soon. We are down to 26 advance tickets and then they go up to $35. This show is going on for sure, the DJ's are booked an paid for and I will anounce the line up on or before Monday. I can say that regardless of the Canadian fame, the DJ line up at Warm & Fuzzy is hands down the best ever at a Happy Bastard party.

P.S. for those asking whether the rumours about the above where true, it is a good job they are coz if you help rumours like that they wilL DESTROY a party. In this case the rumours are true so no harm done.

Respect.
