It's been a while since I sold my 600, but I do remember that the faders had less resistance than the 275.
If you think the 600's faders are loose, try a Xone:92. You can flick them up to the top with very little pressure. After using the 92 for a while now, I really dig the loose faders. Since you like stiff faders, have you considered a rotary?
Sorry if this doesn't really help, I just though I would chip in. I only used the 800 briefly, but I loved the feel of the faders. But, without using a 600 recently, I couldn't tell you how different they felt. They felt great, though. Never touched a 1000.
