Do u mean in your sequencer?

Anyway, i used Ableton live, and if i want to rename a sample, i just click it and press Ctrl+R and write :P

If u rename your sample in windows after u have used it in a production, the next time u start up your sequencer and load your project, the project will not fint your sample. But this isnt any problem, just takes more time, cus u need to seek up and replace it in your produktion.

Cheers

Rename everything so You can reference each sample. Probably like most People, what I do is - create different sample folders for each project, and place the corresponding samples in those folders.

I also name samples so I can understand which one's I'm using.

I also use Ableton Live 5, so I find the browser very helpful.

Try adding some details / comments for each sample !!!
