I started djing in October and im just starting to get the hang of mixing properly now but i was wondering how long it took for other ppl to learn how 2 mix?

Almost been mixing for a year and I still mix like shit. Maybe its because I only go on the turntables once a week.

Everyone or mostly everyone is going to be very critical of themselves. So whether they've been spinning 1 day or 5 years, they will still feel like they are capable of more.
With that said, I've been mixing almost two years, and I feel like my mixing is no where near as good as it could be.
Depends what you mean by 'good'. I've owned my gear for about 3 months now and I'm getting ok - as in I can go for two hours with only one or two slight trainwrecks.

Depends on a lot of things...
I noticed from crossing over to other genres that I mix House almost on point every time where Trance is a bit tougher. You miss your cue then you gotta wait another 32 beats, for example. All depends...

yea house you only have to wait 16 beats
anyways ive been dj'ing for a good whole 2 weeks now.
at first i thought i was great lol then i quickly aquired an ear for the skill and now i think im alright. my mixing is perfectly beatmatched but as for mixing in key and buildup/breakdown mixing its hit and miss still.

Been mixing for 7 years, still learning.
I've switched genres and am learning to find the sweet spot again.
The more you practice the quicker you'll get good. Once you think you're decent, start to record your mixes (and be shocked at how bad they are )
