Question linux dj software

is there any good linux software meant for use by dj's? im looking for something like ableton live or mixmiester, just it needs to run on linux. as of right now, i have no equipment, so the program will need to be able to emulate the equipment, so that i would be able to mix without any equipment.

i dont need anything super-fancy, just something that will work and will let me so some simple mixing without any equipment.

With the right amount of time/work put into it, you can typically get any program to run in Linux.

most programs, yes. not all though. the directx sound emulation in cedega/wine isnt too good right now and both of those require you to have a windows install on your computer i believe, which i dont have. i geuss ill try to figure something out

FWIW V1.0 of Final Scratch ran on Debian Linux. I know many people got it to run on different flavors of Linux.

search soundforge for all the opensource dj software...actually i stumbled across a website of a linux dj'ing community im trying to find the link for you...but typically with the open source stuff they might not be too heavy on features but you can write your own in, change the interface, add stuff etc etc...

here's the link bro:
