Exactly. When you take ecstasy, your jaw clenches tight and you grind your teeth like mad. Some do this way more than others but the pacifier, as ridiculous as it looks, saves your mouth and teeth from the harsh grinding you'd be doing all night long otherwise. Some people I've known have worn mouth guards instead.
