So I just upgraded to a 3 channel mixer, and will now be connecting my Powerbook to the 3rd channel. I'm interested in adding samples to my mixes, but don't really know where to get them. Are there online stores that sell various samples? Do you guys cut your own samples from other songs/tv shows/movies or what?

buy Remix magazines, they have tons of samples free this month.

dont know if your interested but aside from ordering sample libraries and sample cd's on the internet and various stores, check out the production forum, you can just as easily make your own!
