[prog..trance] Madelon 4:32 sample @ 192kb/s
a track about a girl.. I was wondering how you people feel about this (nonvocal!) track.. maybe my first actual trancer..
Id like some pointers on how to continue the track.. and maybe how to improve the elements already in it..
hey takkra! the song is great! i love the low volume synths in this song it has real emotion. the kick is well mastered imo. and the groove in this track is very nice. the more i listen.... the more i like! keep up the good work matey

Nice bongos, but the way they hit makes them feel very repetitive. I think it would sound better if there was a constant beat of tocs and tacs, or if that pattern only played at the end of a phrase. Having it play like it does now just makes too much contrast between when they hit and when they don't. (that was sort of abstract, sorry if it isn't too clear )
Lots of nice clear percussions in this track.
Don't really like the melody so much.
Otherwise, nice work.

happy you liked it bidor !! I think the entire version will be done within a couple of days.. since ive got my summerholiday now hehe!!
I know what you mean aquarian, using it at the end of a phrase would be a nice indea indeed! Ill give it a try to bad you didnt like the melody, that's just a metter of taste I think?
It must be a very special girl `couse its a very special track! Nice atmosphere and an interesting melody. As Bidor, I like the low volume synths, gives the track a chill touch. Sounds really good so far!

it's a really special girl (we both share the same passion for trance for instance! hehe) she knows more about trancemusic than I do .. no she is special ...
but once the bass comes in it kinda fills out and sounds nice.
bassline changes... nice.. it gives a nice rolling effect.
i know this melody..?
have you posted it beofre? on anothe tune? maybe i dreamt it...
overall i think you have the foundatios for a very pleasant summer prog tune. get the thing sounding much more wet. synths are too dry and un processed. give em some dealy/ reverb and some other chorus etc. get the sounds filling more space.
nice work so far matey

hi richard thanks alot for the indepth review!...
now I know how to continue some more
I never uploaded this melody.. although I had it for a very long time in fruity maybe.. two three months.
Ill do something about the wetness though great idea!
music part is the strongest part...timbres and mastering..hmm.NEED MORE clarity..and your drumrolls are to repetative...
but Idea is very good...
Need deeper view in low freqs...and also synths are too dry.need clarity.
Finish it!

Ha! I was maybe expecting something more sedate for a love track. It's a little spicier than that The metal bongos are a little repetitive, for the sound. I think better bongos would be cool. Pad is very nice, brought in well too. I like the funky synth at 2:55, it's very cool. That's very enjoyable, also the winding melody. Very nice groove at 3:49. I think some effects at 4:03 or so would break up the repetition of that part. I thought you were going in to a new pad part at the end. The end as it is sort of seems abrupt. Very nice tune, thanks for sharing.
