Dance 2 Trance - Power of American Natives (Keith O'Brien's dark acid remix) 320full

Was bored this afternoon, so I made this

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

It's somewhat inspired by DJ Quicksilver's mix.

I was working on this track and I unintentionally made it sound alot like P.o.A.N. so I just went with it and added the pan flute

Ive got no idea what p.o.a.n. is but.. this sounds nice

really like the bubbling rythm in the start! nice filtered acid comes in.. percs sound a bit muffled with that, though the hihats coming in sound clear

umpa bass hehe.. seems to be on a different note than the acidline.. (nice fx going on btw!) the bass and acid feel weird for a while but I get used to it..

light plucky thingy.. hehe funny when the breathy thing comes in..
I guess that should be the panflute.. a little less attack and a bit more release WOULD make it sound better I think.. but if its a panflute sample then screw me lol..

3:31 ahh this I like.. nice and dark !! cool how it filters in
..
the melody comes in again.. not alot new stuff, it works though

outro is build down nicely.. I think its very long :s

lessee about this one. Powers... is a great classic and a fav of mine.
starts out good, don't really like the umpaumpa bass but it does work sorta. ok pan flute comes in now, i like that you didn't go straight into a total breakdown. the pan flute sounds a bit to synthy tho. i like the dark feel that was introduced. now into this break, it's good for a "small drop and then get on with it" type break but i the snareroll just seems to cliche, also hmm, the synth? introduced in the break doesn't work for me, i don't like it at all, also the direction taken after the breaks is well, around 5:00 it definantly sounds better but i think it needs a bit more filtering, also, the acid line is too muffled.

decent remix tho

and you ppl call yourselves Tranceaddicts? pfff
Power of american natives is one of the most popular trance tunes off the 90s.

this is a quite cool remix. my favourite remix is still the Dance 2 Trance remix. that one removes most of the vocals and adds a darker vibe to the tune.
