damn talk about an all around entertainer! the constant exchanges of funny expressions, gestures, dance moves, music and mixing... all i can say is: brilliant performance! howells was not only connecting with the crowd the entire time, he was in the middle of it. the whole time shakin and movin, bouncing, twisting and sliding back and forth banging records on his head, chatting/joking around with people throughout his set, just constantly involved with the crowd. his first track was this chugging prog track then without wasting time the dropped a sick tribal drum track for number 2 and from then on it was just wide-scale ownage for 3 hours. i caught the last 45 min of dj bali's opening set and it was an excellent lead in for howells. very similar style of rolling basslines as howells, but at a slower pace. the dance floor filled up very quickly from when i got there at 11:15 (very thin crowd) to when i headed back in from the lobby at 11:30 (comfortably filled crowd).
