Voice tests for Radio
hi,
at first I know this is propably not the 100% right board to post it, but I applied for a job of radio moderator on a local radio station. The station is quite commercial but I guess it's better job to work with shitty music instead of not working with music at all.
Just wonder if you could give me any advices on how to be the "best" on the voice tests etc... :-)
in college we spent the entire 2 years going over proper speaking techniques and how to clearly enunciate along with our other assignments
if you're not willing to enroll in a credible institution, look for acting classes in your area
they will help you read a script without sounding read on top of helping you with proper speaking techniques
i tell you now, get proper training if you want to be on air, you will sound like you know what you're doing and won't sound like some amateur who stumbled in off the street to those with actual training (trust me, we can tell)
