Exclamation Studio trouble: placement of main controller synth vs PC keyboard.. HOW??

Hi,

Need some advice about placement of stuff in the studio..

On my desk I have both my midi controller keyboard/synth and pc keyboard in front of me cause you need them both right.. but how do you place them best?

I mean, when putting the pc keyboard closest to me and the synth after it, it is not convenient to play the synth.. more logic for me seems to place the synth closest so I can play normally without having to reach too far, however then I don't know where to place the pc keyboard..

you know what I mean?.. I suppose everybody has been messing with this.. so how do you set it up best?! What do most people do?

Main synth is 61-note by the way (I don't like those very small keyboards for composing my tunes).

Build a slideout shelf under your desk.

another idea:

i have the pc-keyboard right in front of me, directly behind it stands the midi-conroller-keyboard. i put two 3 cm high pads under the right and the left side of the midi-controller so there is enough space to place the (extremely flat 7 euro) pc-keyboard under it.

it`s ok to play the midi-keyboard behind the pc-keyboard (i didn`t expect that before tho) but if i want to play longer or more comfortably i simply pull the midi keyboard right in front of me over the pc-keyboard (which i can`t use in this position of course).

You could also have a look at the thread where people post pics of their studios and see if that gives you any ideas.
