Could someone explain 'full-on' to me?

... And maybe post samples. There is other full-on than just psy right? I think I heard about Full-On Trance and Breaks. Anyways, thanks.

They're not subgenres of their own. It just means the tracks are full on... ie. massive.

i think you can compare "full-on" it with "bursting" or "blasting"

Actually, it's as much of a genre as "pop" is: although it's a simple description, full-on psy-trance means that track has several layers of melody, grouping all the music that would end up being "progressive psy", "psy tech" and whatnot.

I know it is in Psy but I was commenting the trance and breaks bit.

Oh, I misread it - I thought he was talking about Full-on psy breaks (which would be a superfluous idea for a genre anyway).

Thanks, Nik

Another term would be "peak time" as they are sometimes described. These kinds of tracks are usually played during the peak of a club night (around 12:00) or during a festival by the headliners. You know the bangin' tunes that get the floor packed after the warm up DJ set up the headliner's peak time set with less bangin' tunes.

Haha well in America it is since most club events end at 2:00 or 2:30, as most cities have curfews and city-noise ordinances, so about 2:30 is the limit, and then police start coming in. They have after hours clubs but they are usually hole in the walls..small bars, and the music usually isn't loud. So about 12:00 is when the headliners start playing the bangin' stuff. Well with the clubs that i've been to...it would be different in festivals or events, and of course in other countries that don't have curfews or ordinances...Ibiza's parties last past 6:00 or later in the morning...would love to go there.
