Im headed to LAX on the 19th.

I've never been out to California ever, and plan on getting totally brained-fried for 10 days!!!

Any places I should go, anything to try, any events I should look at?

dude thats weird cuz i went to LA during my summer break from the 7/4-7/9. you DEF have to eat In&Out burger, the best fast food burger you'll ever have. there was a lot of hype about the fries cuz they put in raw potatos straight into the frier, but i didnt think they were that great. but yea, in & out burger.

have fun getting out of 405 when you leave LAX

in & out is the shit!! they need some over here on the east coast, it was the best fast food ive had. i thought the fries were pretty good actually.

seeing as you're alreayd out there, i dont know if you'll end up reading this. you might want to check out venice beach, i went out to LA in april. venice beach was really cool, lots of people, lots of headshops. we even got free parking! this homeless guy offered to rig the meter for us if we gave him some change. he stuck a paperclip in it and did some weird thing and it gave us time on the meter, he said he would go back every hour and give us more time too.

LOL I love people in Venice beach but unfortunately it's not crowed in the evening ...
I suggest you to go to Spundae, this is a huge !

i was there during the day and it was crowded, i got some pretty nice pictures of the sun starting to set over the pacific too.
