Pretty much any decent pizza joint outside of LA is better than just about any pizza joint inside LA.

pizza rustica is TAIIIGHTTT! it's the second best pizza i've ever had. the best is from giordiano's in chicago. now THAT is how a pizza should be made. slices are as thick as lasagna
my favorite pizza joint in LA is johhnies NYC, they have a buncha locations (3rd street promenade, miracle mile, fox hills...) if you ever go there you gotta try the NY WHITE PIE. it's feta cheese with spinach and basil. so creamyyyy
ps- daveT, san francisco has this good place but i can't remember the name of it. it's right by the water and the slices are sooper thin. you know what i'm talking about? all the other pizza i've had in san francisco wasn't that great

I def consider myself a pizza connoisseur and Pizza Rustica is the best all around pizza I have ever had. I experienced my first rustica in Miami 3 years ago. I seriously look forward to just that for every year let alone WMC. In addition, since Wmc this year was full of crunked out ignorant spring breakers... Rustica and The Pawn Shop where the 2 best things about 06'
The Rustica off Sunset is not quite the same though; it does not have the badass ol' school oven like the ones in Miami (which is one of the most important things about good pizza). Though most of the time I just get plain cheese (the best way to judge any decent pizza), there chicken parmesan is amazing too.
Now, I do not want to hear anyone from Chi-town blabbing about how good there pizza is. This is just my opinion.
Long Live Rustica.

It might not be the same oven... and the one on sunset was missing some choices... but it sure tasted the same! YUMMMMMYYYYYY!!!
And the best part is each slice is only 5 bucks and the slices are huge! just like in South Beach!
YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Well I'll be damned. The pizzeria-next-to-Crobar, South Beach (aka Pizza Rustica) made it to the west coast!
