Just wanted to enlighten people about the site

I am simply excited to be able to see Tijs and Eddie in the same night as that is a pretty good combo.

I really doubt that we used pictures from Coachella. I would be willing to bet they are from the Global in the UK.

Stranger things have happened but I feel confident that they are from the UK.

Maybe they contracted the same "tent" manufacturers

One of the big white hangars looks exactly like the Sahara tent...

Wow it looks lame sorry to say. There's nothing like the real deal honestly, I think they should keep it pure and geniune by keeping it in Stratford. It's like moving Amnesia to Vegas, it's not the same vibe!!! Bad move I think but who knows....Global Gathering is all about breaks, electronic, DnB, everything that doesn't involve mainstream typical shit. PURE FUN!!!! 12 different stages, 30-45k people dressing crazy dancing to the best EDM music in the world, experiencing life not the vegas sin city style. Vegas is vegas, as much as it seemed like a good idea to collaborate these two ideas, I personally think it's lame. Why don't we just move a bunch of hip hop clubs to Ibiza for that matter, or even have Dance Valley Festival in LA....??? It's worth the 10 hour flight to England to enjoy Global Gathering, that's what makes it what it is now.

There's my 2 cents!!!

If you were comparing it to the one in the UK yes it doesn't really come close. How ever this is more of a B- Live event created by Live 2 Net and Bacardi which is more of an diverse event that just dance music. B Live also has big plans for the WCM again and Los Angeles in 2007 to where this merely is a smaller show in a cooler niche location than a field.

I think the fact that someone took over the Palms Casino for 3 days and have booked the following

- Kascasde
- Stretch Armstrong
- DJ Areo
- Tommy Lee
- Papa Roach
- Under The Influence of Giants (just added)
- Tiesto
- surpirse guest performer
- a few local bands
- a few local DJ's
- more to come

over a 3 day weekend in one of Las Vegas's hippest casinos makes it a very attractive week end. To know you can go to Vegas, check into a great hotel, hang by the pool during the day for some great house music, see a few decent bands, see a Tiesto and not even leave the hotel is certainly well rounded which is what B-Live is all about.

I am not saying this is the best event to go to by far but it certainly makes for a decent week end for people from all over the USA to attend and gives the people that are comming a little taste of whats to come in the future from Live 2 Net and Bacardi which will be happening all over the West Coast in the near future.

There is actually some really good talent in Las Vegas as always this Labor Day and I am sure there will be aa lot of people looking to spend what they love in a place with out a bunch of kids with a truely wicked vibe in a city that never sleeps.

Tiesto
Digweed
Eddie (crushing it to insanity)
Diggers
Dan
Glaude
Dub Fire
Eric Morrillo
Irene
Acosta
JES
Kascade
I am sure I missed a few

That's alot of good music you can hear over 3 days.

Look forward to seeing who ever will be out there as Veags really did come out with a great 3 days of music after all.

But that's just exactly it.....staying at some nice hip hotel and not leaving. I enjoy the Palms I stayed there before, can't bag on the promoters for trying. However, Global Gathering isn't about fancy hotels, and having it in a field is why it is what it is. I've been twice to GG and I enjoy the treck there, I like watching all the crazy people of all walks of life, young and old scouters and VIPs all getting together enjoying themselves. Can't bag on it being in a field if that's where it originated from granted it started at Godskitchen. But they put it on Long Field Airforce base because it's so huge and regardless if it's raining (which it did this year) it made it that much more funner cause people didn't care, nobody gave a shit about being up in a nice hotel (unless you're the dj's of course), camping out and chillen in th middle of nowhere being live on Radio 1 watching the aerial planes in the air......seeing random dj's walking around, jumping from tent to tent.....That's what makes it Global Gathering.....and this year Hed Kandi did VIP area, loved that house music!

3 day holiday weekend in Vegas is pretty chill, I admit, I'm working out there so I can't complain......but if they want to bring Global Gathering to the west side of the mississippi, definitely more production should go into and a better line up. Granted though, the EDM line up isn't bad........You know what I mean though??? That's why I go over to Europe for major events cause' the vibe is soo much better, it's genuine and pure....not image orientated. Plus Global Gathering cators to dance music, so diversity isn't really what they go for, that's why there's coachella for diversity. If GG was to be diverse, they would of changed it up along time ago......This years event was crazy and even though my treck there was ridiculous and frustrating, it was worth it. But hopefully it works out for them....

exactly, but its all we can expect from vegas though, casino centered image driven entertainment. I highly doubt any promoter(s) out here could even come close to any event put on in europe mainly because they never deviate from the beaten path they have used before, bring in celebrites and have them hang out at a party and have one or two big name djs play inside a small club.

although I do hate to look negatively on it cause nothign like this has been here before and it is a step in a better direction. Now you can go to any pool party here and hear house, not great house, but its house. and now these bigger events are starting up, so hopefully it can be done right soon.

The relaity is that there is no where in America that anyone could ever do the same size capacity event such as Global Gathering does in the UK as the market would not support being able to have 5 tents and 100 DJ's. People have tryed over the last 10 years and failed misserably.

Also is you say last years Global Gatehring in Miami it was clearly mixed with other types of music which the same format will follow this year. In order to get 50,000 people you need to work the same formula as Coachella as that is the only way you can get those number. Just like Ultra added the Killers and a few other bands, Just like Giant added a band for NYE and i am sure there are many more examples.

We should be happy that Vegas has so much talent on a great holiday week end that is so close to us. things could be way worse such as living in Arknasas and have the choice of a Blue Grass Festival or going possibly going Oyster Shucking.

and FYI GGUK should be chaning it up even in the UK soon as in order to get bigger other acts besides EDM must be incorporated.

See you in Vegas
