well if they recalled all the batteries on the powerbooks and i books. why did they still put defective batteries in them up untill the final powerpc laptops?

My friend has an iBook and got a free replacement battery a year ago. He gets another freebie on this recall too probably.
He noticed his iBook battery area gets quite warm when recharging, while my Toshiba laptop battery hardly gets warm at all. So maybe his battery has a minor defect.
Apparently Sony is paying for most or all of the Apple and Dell battery recalls.

yeah, sony is paying for all of it since they are the ones who manufacture the lithium ion battery cells.
