Money no object soft synth

If I was going to buy just one soft synth (vsti), and money isn't an issue then what should it be. What is the essential all rounder that if you had to get rid of all your other plug ins and keep only one then what would it be?

Absynth 3, just get the tutorial DVD with it and learn the program. It's well worth the buy and you really don't need any other synth. One thing is it is somewhat of a cpu hog. I can normally run about 5-6 before it starts getting laggy on me.

+1 on absynth 3
it complicated but if you spend some time and lear this synth, than you can do absolutely everything with it. Farty basslines, deep basslines, supersaws, percussions, synthesise some wicked drum parts, literally everything!

as lindo said - you should buy the tutorial dvd too it will help you to not be scared of the programm
