HappyHappy Just bought the DXM09

Man, as much as I've disliked Numark products in the past...this mixer is amazing for the price! Snatched it for 300 bucks and couldn't be happier! I've never actually heard onboard FX that sound good until this mixer

Now to the question...some people tell me the faders will hold up really well, and I've also heard that with this mixer the faders will crap out sooner than most other mixers. Does anyone know anything in regards to this? Thanks

My DXM06 seemed to be working just fine when I stopped using it back in June. It's still sitting in my room (for $100, any takers? C'moooon... I mean... c'mooooooooooooooooooooooooon). It was one hell of a nice beginning mixer and I can only imagine the 09 is better, and with an extra channel to hook up like, I dunno, a blender and shit.

Congragulations on making one of the best value purchases in your DJ'ing career!!! I've had my DXM09 since the week it was released and I absolutley love it. Recently, I snapped off the FX selector switch due to poor handling on my fault, but EVERYTHING on it works so great and sounds excellent after little over a year of pure playing hard and abuse. You won't be dissapointed, just take care of the damn thing!

the dxm09 is awesome and it ISNT the same as the dxm06. there are lots of differences between the 2. the obvious ones are the extra channel and the level meters. the kills are also different and the cueing system. the 09 has fader start options and a cue tone knob which i personally think is pointless. the effects are also different, on the dxm06 u have 2 banks of 6 effects, 6 of these can be placed on the upfader channels ad the other 6 can only be placed on the mic input. on the dxm09 its drifferent u again have the 2 banks of 6 effects but all the effects can be assigned to any source or channel, so can actually use all 12 rather just 6 to effect the music like the dxm06. u also have a high pass and a low pass filteron the dxm09 where as the dxm06 only has lowpass, it can do this because of the ability to switch between 2 banks for all sources.

bare in mind the dxm09 was realsed a good couple of years after the dxm06 so therefore it is a slight improvement on it so although being in the same mixer family they do work slightly different.
