Tiësto roept op om voor nieuw talent te stemmen...
Hi Everybody,
I have spent the last two weeks in the U.S.A. I had an epic time with four great shows. I spent a couple of days in Tahoe, went to Austin Texas, a festival in Chicago, the Global festival at the Palms hotel in Vegas where I also had some time off.
Every night I went out with the promoter of the city I was in and most of them where bringing up the DJ Magazine top 100 voting. It's a big thing for most of the promoters and most of them will book DJ's that are high on this list.
That made me think, because if that's the case the voting is important. Especially to breed new talent.
There are so many new great young DJ's out there that I feel it's time to give them a chance. I appreciate all the love and support I get from all over the world but I won this award three times so if I would win it a fourth time, it wouldn't make a difference for my career.
For the new talented DJ's around the world it could make a difference, so I would like to ask all the people who support me to vote for new talent.
Don't vote for me, vote for the new breed!

I find this hard to believe. Its not that Tiesto isnt a nice guy and all, but i remember him once saying he really doesnt listen to many djs because he doesnt want to be influenced but what they play. Not saying that this isnt true, just hard to believe.

What does the guy have to do? If he's number 1 you slag him off, If he's announcing he doesnt even want it, vote for someone else who needs it - you slag him off.
Blake Jarrell & Serge Devant have both opened for him in recent gigs this year. Blake also supplied him with a large wad of tunes which he currently plays (Snow Patrol)... and Richard Durand... is in fact DJing under the alias name G-Spott. A Dutch pop-trance idol. That might be a little odd, but Richard has given Tiesto about 10% of his playlist this year, in the form of 5-6 remixes of old classics and a few new ones to boot.

Hij zei dit trouwens al 6 maand geleden tegen enkele fans dat hij heel het circus beu is...
Hij heeft alles al bewezen en bereikt wat er voor hem te bereiken valt. Het mooiste voor zijn "loyal fans" is dat hij 20 plaatsen zakt en weer deftige sets kan spelen.
M.a.w. Ik hoop dat hij eindelijk uit de Top 5 zal verdwijnen dankzij dit... Na 3x aan de top te hebben gestaan hoeft dat niet meer.

Ik vind het wel sjiek van hem. Die top 5 heeft lang genoeg hetzelfde gebleven! Dringend tijd voor wat verandering dit jaar!

precies dat dit nog uit doet, meesten hebben al gestemd, en die vote is toch al een tijdje bezig...

Dit werkt niet als stunt, het is een oproep. Meer niet... Zoals in die Quote staat; het is nooit goed als het op Tiësto aankomt; het is altijd verkeerd.
Het is ver gekomen dat de minachting zo groot is dat je zelfs een eerlijke blog niet gelooft. Allezinds ik ben eens gaan kijken op het Tiesto forum en daar zijn er al honderden die zijn oproep volgen, en dat kan ik alleen maar toejuichen.
Ik voel me niet beledigd als een paar van mijn favoriete dj's lager staan in een overroepen populariteitspoll hoor.
(Ikzelf stem trouwens ook sinds 2003 niet meer op Tiesto)
