I know a lot of you have been getting annoying with the amount of event promotion that this forum has suffered and now i want your help in deciding what to do with it all.
So answer in the poll above and let me know.

Number 3 but only if its a newbie promoter or something, dont mind it at all to be honest from normal forum members, always good to know whats going on, especially if we can do some meetups or something.
Big events deserve threads.

i'd agree with this. if it's an event that generates interest amongst the regulars here (past examples where the topic has cropped up include vaccine & wildchild) then a thread from the promoter should be allowed, basically because if it gets locked then another one would just get created by someone interested in the night. i can see the moral issues behind the rules but it just seems like pointless policing at the end of things
if it's a new night though then i like the idea of moving to a sticky thread. if it goes on to get discussed alot in there then you could consider allowing threads for it in the future?
