Someone will need to clarify...but the Sega CD failed largely because of all the FMV games that invaded the market. ya know, the ones with movie graphics except for an animated gun cursor and a health bar.
And, Ill never forget the first time I played Duke Nukem 3D. All the nudity, blood, guts, swearing....I felt like such a rebel playing it. of course i was young.

No doubt it failed but personally I adored that system. Would play it for hours on end. Even though the FMV games killed it, they were still class to me. Especially Night Trap, which sparked so much controversy. I still have my Sega CD 32X version of the game. The best games for Sega CD had to be Working Designs' (may they now R.I.P.) line of RPGs. LUNAR, LUNAR: Eternal Blue, VAY and Popful Mail. I still have all of those as well. I really wish my Sega CD still worked.

No offense, but you are old! Atari 2600 memories are seriously, seriously old school. I wasn't even alive to see the NES come out.
P.S: I don't have the energy or enthusiasm to complete my list.

He's not the only one. The 2600 was also my first gaming system. For me it was all about Haunted House, Demons to Diamonds, River Raid, E.T., and Raiders of the Lost Ark, among many others. I didn't get my NES until 1988.

Ya know whats interesting...EGM considered Sonic CD to be one of the greatest games of all time in one of their top 100 lists a few years back. I dunno if I agree since I only played the game like 2 or 3 times, but the game WAS pretty badass.
Working Designs FTMFW. they developed the unbelievable Dragon Force for Sega Saturn. one of the greatest games of all time.

dude. chrono trigger was such an amazing game I still cry to this day about how beautiful a game it is. I wish there was a true sequel to it. Chrono Cross wasn't imo. Lots of great games there.
