Did you ever get into a debate with someone, and you know you are right, but you're missing a vital detail that will close the whole discussion... and it drives you ABSOLUTELY FUCKING CRAZY until you wrack your brain to unveil that little detail? That's the situation I'm in. And I won't be able to go on with my life until I end this discussion.

Danny and I were having lunch today at Red Lobster, and we were talking about the Chocolate Wave, which is, by far, the best dessert on the menu. And having been eating that dessert for years, i KNOW it used to go by another name. But that was the detail I was missing... I couldn't for the life of me remember what it used to be called. And it started driving me crazy, and he said he never knew it as anything else. So we asked our server, who had been there 5 years. He said in 5 years the name hasn't changed. So he brings over this other server who has been there 20 years, and now we have everyone involved in this debate. And the 20-year vet insists that he never knew it as anything else. He made some suggestions as to other desserts he has seen on the menu over the years but no... they weren't it.

i KNOW i am right. And it finally came to me. CHOCOLATE PLUNGE CAKE. it was like a light going off in my brain. I ran home and started yahoo-ing it, and I got a couple leads, but now he is giving me shit that he needs proof that it IS in fact, the same dessert, with a new alias, and not just a totally different dessert altogheter that USED tobe on the menu.

I mean, how many fucking version of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream and hershey's syrup CAN there possibly be?

So.... all i want is someone to step up and say... "Hey, I remember that. You're right" and i'll let it go. And i know 99% of you probably think i'm nuts right about now, but this is serious. It's gonna drive me crazy until I have closure.

I've never really eaten red lobster dessert but I'm surprised they didn't have like a chocolate flavored crab cake or something good to know it's an actual cake

Anywho I think the brownie sunday @ Tony Romas wins > all others.

I ate @ Red Lobster once for lunch for work since its like one block away. And vowed not to go there again. The chocolate wave was nothing special for me. And I havent tried the rest.
