The Make if Funky crew just won't rest! Bringing you another exceptional night fusing live music and DJ's in a Nu-funk vibe. Make it Funky is presenting the Canadian debut of European Producer/DJ Malente, the first dates of his North American Tour! Continuing the positive vibe that's experienced at Make It Funky events, Malente, an internationally acclaimed producer, will bring his move it or lose it style to rock Guelph! His uncompromising manner to fuse funk-infected breakbeats with irresistible party grooves is highly popular to say the least considering the long list of remixes he has done for amongst others All Good Funk Alliance, Dr. Rubberfunk, Der Plan, DJ Friction, The Strike Boys, Thomilla, Bob Sinclair, Frank Popp Ensemble, Rocko Schamoni, Le Hammond Inferno as well as uncountable DJ gigs he has done worldwide. Solely in 2005, he travelled the USA, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, Greece and other countries. When Malente last passed through Canada he rocked the Shambhala festival in BC and when he is playing one of his outstanding DJ-sets, a tight party is to be expected.

Colin Chu, better known as Big League Chu, is simply the leading DJ talent in Canada's breakbeat scene today. After over a decade of DJing, his name is synonymous with the funky, party-happy sound that's become Chu's rallying call - and it's one that crowds answer faithfully. Whether it's at his residencies at Toronto's legendary Breakfest events, the Make It Funky Jams, or the large one-off shows that Toronto boasts. In a city renowned as one of North America's largest party scenes, Chu has played alongside all the worlds finest, allowing him to develop his own distinct style of breaks. Chu's sets can vary from hard beats to melodic funky down tempo sounds, but always remains a crowd mover.

Tri-City's Hip-Hop Co-op brings local, national and international talent together in a collaborative groove that seeks to raise awareness of the artistic community's environmental, social and financial concerns. They have been featured at the Guelph Hillside Music Festival (July 2006), and can be found throwing shows all over. This 9pc collective's high energy live show is fed by chunky bass lines, phat organic beats, percussive madness via conga's, djembe's and turntables, funky lead guitar and some of Ontario's finest emcees dropping cadent flow all over the place. They spill nasty funk onto every dance floor, every show played, with shear raw passion. The Hip-Hop Co-op continues to infect crowds with funky good vibes to raise awareness for its cause(s) with an expanding community of visionary artists.
