Hi everybody. I searched the forum, but couldnt quite find exactly what I was looking for. Please dont flame me if its been answered a million times.

But I have some trance cds and burned them to my computer. I just want to make a mix for myself. Combine all the tracks that I want into one seamless set. So just some kind of program/walkthrough that I can match up BPM and make something I can listen to privately. Im such a Noob, so any help and noneflaming would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

actually it will be easier to use acid pro...the reason being is because you can edit songs and do anything you want to them without having to redo the mix...if you don't like a transition you can fix it until you like it....whereas the aforementioned programs are only for mixing live....

I'd say mix meister is far easier to navigate and use than acid, but acid can be more powerful for other applications...

easier in the sense that he will go through less agrivation trying to get that perfect mix and transition...

Mixmeister actually lets you connect all the tracks and preview the mixes before you record the set. For on the fly mixing, I learned the basics of phrasing and eqing on virtual dj. Just google these programs. They all have demos on their websites.

Sweet, thanks guys. So you a good idea would be to start on Mixmeister and eventually go to Acid when I start to get the hang of it?

No go Ableton..haha jk. I'de say MixMeister is all you need..download the Demo and then if you like it you can buy the full version. By trance CDs do you mean previously mixed CDs? I've always though Acid was more for looping, remixing and such. I haven't used it for mixing...maybe someone else has, I dunno. I'd just stick with MixMeister. If you like that try Traktor DJ studio.

Well yeah, he never said he wanted to play live- just make a set for himself. Shit I do that all the time really- record sets just for me!

Go ableton after that, or buy turntables/cd playas

I just have cds that have seperated tracks, and I have some Mp3s on computer, and would like to combine forces for my own sets.
