Do you have your own children ? I guess no, but try to image if anybody here will have sex with your son/daugther, what would be your first reaction ?

For parents of 13th years old boy/girl the fact that somebody has had sex with him/her, doesn't produce any pleasure, only pain.

Ay but in Holland they have the law where the age is 13. Or that was where I thought it was. How would some body be in favor of something like that?

Age of consent is there for a reason, children and make no mistake, thats what they are do have too be protected for their own good, any notion of this being changed is a slip backwards into barbarism. Sometimes this means they need protecting from themselves and also because society at large cannot be trusted too do the right thing without some form of punishment.
Sure, sometimes it happens earlier but it shouldnt because of the dangers of pregnancy, STD's and psychological damage too young people in their formative years because its simply not always a good thing and with the amount of other variables in there its often a very bad thing which can cause a great deal of trauma.

The world is full of bastards, least let childhood be just that for as long as possible before the harsh world comes crashing in.
Philosophy for the most part is a crock, made up by over-educated people who rarely have any sense of the contemporary society around them because they fiddle around in university rather than experience of life by 'normal' people.
Am I being a hypocrite after those two contridictions?
No.
Basically because the ages of 10-18 are where people due too their social upbringing will carry a sense of worth, self and morality with them for the rest of their lives and it is possible to educate them during this time on some of the harder, uglier facts of life without having too bring sex into the equation.
