Could be wrong but I really don't think so. I was looking for a way to transport v station patched=s into the Ks rack station but couldn't do it.

If you find out any diffrent let me know

99% sure it's not possible. They have a slightly different feature set (although they are similar, there are some differences)

no the v-station is not able to load patches from the ks4 because of the different structure ( more filter types , different arps, hypersync protocol) But the ks4 can load any v-station , a-station , k-station soundset. To convert a fxb(cubase preset bank) into a midi file for the ks4 load the fxb in the v-station and then go to the global menu of the synth to export the soundset as a midi file.

I've been trying to get this to work for ageees!! even wrote to novation to see if they could help me figure it out.. but they never wrote back.

the only thing im 100% sure on, as there is a table somewhere on the novation site that says it. is that you can send "single patches" from the V-station to the KSr KS4, KS5 and it should autoload into patch 100.

That being said, I have taken a V-station patch and converted it into a .mid with the global export. then tried to send that file with WMP to the KS rack (which works with KS banks in Mid format, so i dont want to hear anymore people saying you cant send mid data with WMP) yet the 100 patch never changes.

If anyone successful does this, please tell me what program you used to send the .mid to the KS

just send it to your ks4 /ks5/ks rack with cubase ... open the midi file with cubase assign the channel on witch the file was opened to the channel connected to your synth and press play ... your synth will receive the bank.Be sure to turn the memory protect off on the ks and to assign the global midi channel of the synth to the midi channel on witch you are sending the data. PM me if you have any trouble doing it.
