There are two lenses. One is concave, the other is convex. Look through one, and you see your surroundings much different than if you looked thru' the other. The same goes for worldviews. When evaluating our reality, people look thru' lenses (worldviews). Now, the evangelical's worldview is theistic; the opposing view perhaps naturalistic. He is looking at his reality thru' his theistic lense. What he sees is not what a naturalist sees. Both start out at basic assumptions of truth, and if one is truelly based in one view or the other, they have closed their 'mind'.
His assumption is that Jehovah exists, and that the universe was made by Jehovah. Whereas, a naturalist assumes there is no god. Because the naturalist already assumes there is no god, watching the evangelical guy describing the apparent intelligent design of a banana would seem funny and retarded to un-informed naturalists who assume there is no god.
But what's retarded is how close-minded some of you open-minded folks are...SOME
If you want to make fun of the guy, by all means do it, but you are not showing any open-mindedness on your part... |
You know what, even from a theistic perspective, it's still and idiotic way of explaining the existence of the banana so save your ranting for a situation that actually merits it.
