In recent years he had been suffering from an Alzheimer's-like illness and passed away in hospital on Friday.

RIP Puskas, I watched a documentary about communism and football a little while ago, his skill was amazing it was a pity Hungary never won the World Cup.

And his record! On wiki check out his goal to apperance ratio! Brilliant stuff.

I think only Ali Daei could score more goals in international matches, but he only need 83 matches to reach 84 goals.
He played his first game in the Hungarian League at the age of 16 (back in 1943, which was very rare in those times) - and having scored on his debut aswell. He was a magician, and one of those Hungarian people who was known worldwide for his success!

yeah his goalscoring record was insane and his club record was nuts he scored nearly every game.
