Your still using FL 3.4!? You're missing out on most of the best features. I started using it somewhere between 2.5 and 3 (granted most of it was just screwing around until 6 months ago) and i would never go back. The workflow is so simple. But you are missing out on audio and automation clips and lots of plugins and so much more.

well i went up to the studio version and there were only minor changes that i considered adequate, though there were a couple of things that i just didnt like in the new versions and over the period of time i spent producing, i developed habits and such in 3.4 which i couldnt quite make use of in the newer versions so upgrading didnt really appeal to me.
also i like the basic features 3.4 has to offer. makes things simple for me and sometimes sets me a challenge, like a primitive piano roll (im aware that in the newer versions there is a more advanced piano roll with lots of new features and whatever, makes things too easy)
oh and the older versions use less cpu, which means more cpu power for VST synths
