2006's most 'original' artist album?
Probably another repeated thread but what the hell.
Well, which album just rocked your boat throughout the year and went the extra mile to stand out way ahead from the rest of the competition?
Imo, hands-down this year's most original EDM artist album was Vibrasphere's Archiepelago on Digital Structures.
The sheer variety, power and emotion on this album just goes to show that psy despite being around since the mid 80's remains amongst the most under-rated and underestimated genres in the whole EDM spectrum. That's where the critics and sceptics make a big mistake.
What Vibrasphere have crafted on this album is nothing short of phenomenal. The DIVERSITY, the flow, the energy is astounding.
Vibrasphere have grabbed a handful of sub-genres namely psychedelic chill, prog trance / prog house, morning-psy , full-on psy and flawlessly moulded it into one awesome journey.
They have pushed the envelope and have raised the bar across the entire spectrum.
Try this experiment: Goto a house party and play out 'Reservoir' and watch the progheads wet themselves and then come up to you and ask you what's playing out.
