that sucks,
it was one of the clubs i had been trying to check out for years but somehow never got around to it.
r.i.p. aria
really seems like the montreal clubs are taking a back seat to these big parties.

Great times... Carl Cox '03, blue floor lights, unisex washrooms and very friendly people.

First afterhours I ever partied at back in 2003.
I am upset that I cannot be there for the closing party though. That club holds a special place for me no matter how shitty it had gotten in the last year. So many great times were had there though and I have A LOT of good memories.
Aria was always where it was at and I am certainly gonna miss that place! <3

It's what happens when a club books nothing but world class djs twice a weekend(back in the days), its hard and expensive to keep that up. Like every club though, success comes and goes like the peak and troughs of any wavelength. Ultimately, its a financial issue, a new club will open in aria's venue, that with an alocholic license so it'll no longer be an afters
Yup...my first time there was June 2002. I think the longest amt of time I spent within the walls of that club was about 11 hours I think. <3
I said goodbye to aria a long time ago though.

I posted a couple months ago about this but everyone said I was full of shit.
Well, looks like the time has come
I never did make it to Aria, but I'm well aware of the legendary venue. It will definitely be missed both as a Canadian classic venue, but to the Montreal clubbing scene as well.
