Possible documentary on ecstasy users
Hi everyone,
My name is Mahnaaz and I'm looking into the possibility of making a documentary on ecstasy use with a group of classmates. As most of you know, there is a lot of hogwash information out there about ecstasy due in large part to government funded research. The effect on humans is unclear dare I say inconclusive, though there are some potential harmful risks after long-term use.
I don't know the exact focus of the documentary yet, however, one possibility that my group and I are exploring is looking at individuals who take MDMA. We want to show both types of people who have and are taking it--those that have suffered and those that are taking it and are ok. If we go with this approach, in short, we want to show the negative and postive aspects of taking MDMA.
For this documentary to work though, we need peoople who use ecstasy to comment on camera. If you're concerned about being identified, we can interview you in such a way as not to reveal your identity--i.e. darkening the lights so the silhouette or profile is shown, but not the actual face, disguising your voice, etc.
I think it's important to do this documentary because there is a lot of wrong information about its use and effects. Unfortunately, we cannot just rely on scientists and politicians to give us information because they have vested interests.
If you think you'd be interested in being a subject for the documentary, drop me an email and let's talk.
yours,
Mahnaaz Dattu aka "green_eyez-wide"
