If you were GM and your team got the #1 pick...who'd you take?
I'd still have to take Oden just because he's a man beast and has as much/more potential than Durant. The guy is playing with one damn hand and shooting free throws left handed and he's still averaging a Double Double.
Who's your pick and why?

we are talking about 2 different styles here. oden is more of a defensive guy, but "ok" offensively. as for durant, he's pretty good offensively, but defensively he isn't doing so well. i think the key for the both is ohio state making it to at least the sweet sixteen or elite 8 to steady oden's stock. as for durant, they better hope to make it to the big dance, because they are really heading for a downfall right now. they have a talented crew surrounding durant, but the W's aren't racking up.

if i had to pick a franchise player to bank for 5 to 7 years, i pick oden, but if i do, i will make sure mike conley jr comes with him too.

Me, personally, I go with Durant. Oden is no doubt a huge beast in the middle but looking back at bigmen that have recently gone in the draft these past couple of years; they need to be able to do more.

Durant is big, can take it to the middle, and can shoot the 3. Sure people have been suspect of his defense but to have someone like a kevin garnett or tracy mcgrady is too good to pass up. So much more of an upside.

Cant lose either way...
Size is always at a premium, so i think most GMs would take Oden....
But how can u say no to Durant?!?!!
