If I understand it correctly, this type of material is allowed, if posted in a manner like this:

"Click here to see the tradegies of war"

instead of

"I'm so happy to see those american pigs die. Click here to see and celebrate too!"

and there in lies the problem.

Videos that glorify death in any form, no matter creed, race, religion, sexuality etc will not be tolerated on these forums and members who post such videos will get suspended.

Videos that show actual death, no matter creed, race, religion, sexuality etc will also now not be allowd to be posted so that no one can use an 'that was shown with no cheering in the background' kind of excuses.

Death for what ever reason is not pleasant and human beings killing other human beings is just wrong, no matter how anyone trys to justify it.

Who has the right to say if one man should live whilst another dies?

No one!

Also, any post from any member of these forums that is along the lines of

'yes american pigs die in iraq!' will also earn the poster a suspension.

You can of course report/debate over these issues, as long as it's only for the purpose of reporting/debating the issue.


Further comments on this are welcome so that we can put together some basic guidelines for the PDD.

I really did not want to do this as the PDD on the whole is pretty much self governing but with the recent influx of 'helicopter crash' videos etc, these basic guidelines will need to be brought in.

I don't see how any of that warrants a suspension or a ban when there's much more disgusting discussion here about who to bomb or invade next, sometimes with fairly racist/bigoted undertones. That's more repulsive than any video of anyone getting killed. This is nothing more than cencorship of what bothers some people here. There's alot I don't like, doesn't mean I'm going to complain about it every time it happens. The only time I do contact Neo is when it really is pure prejudice. A reality of war is a reality of war. Give absolute power and he will abuse it. We need more than just one mod here. Neo doesn't listen though. He is too wicked.

Anyways, most of the people who're complaining about this with requests for bans or whatever are the ones who never really contribute anything to PDD themselves other than trolling different threads with nonconstructive rants or pure opinion backed up by nothing factual. If you want me to name a few, I can, but I'd rather not. Most of these people starting posting on the unmoderated PDD after Lira stepped down from his position as Mod. I don't really think that's a coincidence eigther since now they know they can get away with it and annoy the crap out of people without having to argue a single point.

Put Lira back as mod? Or perhaps you would be better?

I would not make a good Mod, at least not these days. I've been spouting too many obsenities myself after having to deal with a barrage of them along with ridicule from a few poster here who never address a single point in my post but respond with ad hominens instead. Having Lira again would be great, although I already sort of asked him. He seems to have his hands full with other stuff.
