I find Craigslist far too shady. Try www.redflagdeals.com/forums That site curently has a lot of modded 360s right now.

yeah dude i work for xbox and once your console breaks down (and it will) and it's modded we won't fix it for you ....i see three red lights in your future
a lot of the xbox mods supposedly dont mess up the hardware, they just gotta download some firmware... whatever that means.... and supposedly if it breaks they can just remove the mod... so that xbox will fix it.... although i dont know if there is any truth to this

For the original Xbox yes, but not for the 360.
As of right now, i believe you need a chip to mod a 360.

a friend of mine has successfully modded 3 of them. evrything is still the same. you can play online, you can play burned games, and play regular games. it is also undetected when you play online.
it is almost too good to be true.

Yes, your fingers will become too greasy for you to type. Let alone use the mouse. Especially the BBQ flavored ones.

Why not just save up and buy the games and system rather than stealing?

Always the stealing line. Seriously, is that all you have to say when the discussion is about MOD Chips, CDRs and MP3s?
Tell me, why would I not be allowed to do what the fuck I want with the object I bought. Why should the manufacturer prevent me from playing imported games lets say, or install any other application that I want on MY machine?
