Dunno How do you organize your mp3's?

Before I get I've searched and found threads like (http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...=organize+music)
that talk about general mp3's organization on a broad level. The issue I'm having is that over the years I've accumulated like 1200-1300 trance mp3's and thrown them all into one folder,I just can't remember like almost half the songs. Some of which I'm sure I'd play more often just don't even check anymore.

I would like to organize the individual mp3's so I can sort of tell what type of trance song it is just based on with some kind of code. I was thinking of have the mp3 named
[bpm] [key] [Open/Mid/Close] [Build up/Driving/Close down] [floaty/break down/silence/vocal not]...ect.

There are too many descriptors I could use. I don't want to make things more complicated than they already are. What kind of system, if any, do you use to organize individual mp3's

Right now I just have them organized by where I got them from (e.g. Beatport, Stompy, Juno, etc.).

Your .mp3s should have the artist's name on them as well as the track. It's also best to make sure the id3v tag on your .mp3s are complete. Once you're tags have all the pertinent info on them, they're pretty easy to sort. Now all you have to do is create folders in whatever category you need.

My category sort hierarchy goes like this:
Parent Genre---> Artist Name---> Album or Compilation Name---> Year Released

If you buy your music from legitimate sources, then your files should already have thier id3v tags in place. If you downloaded them from other sources, you may have to check them. Either way having these tags cleaned up will make your sort alot cleaner.
