A friend just told me about these creepy ass short wave radio stations. Anyone know about this stuff? Creepy....look it up in google, or wikipedia has some stuff on it.

yeh i heard that andy hunter used a sample from one of these stations on one of the tracks in his life album.

i cant remember the station he said he found it on though. i c if i can find it

absolutely...I know first hand HAM gear can transmit in that typical band cause I myself got a license years ago, and used to play around with radio

I had an uncle that used to have a real hardon for HAM. Not sure if he still operates or not. It was neat stuff to us silly kids.

HAM radio isn't short hand wavelengths though. These "number stations" are only detectable with shortwave radios. The general concensus is that these are for agents in the field, spies, etc. So, its not HAM radio operators. Really read up on it. This clip is probably one of the most famous. It comes out of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall I believe is what I read.
