just noticed on PVD - Crush the vocal delay has like an auto panning/stereo affect on it. or could be automation. anyone recommend some fancy delay vsts?

Try vascillator (sp?) perhaps, I think its by audio bugs or something like that. Alternatively you could always just go with teh method he probably used and run a totally wet delay channel as a send (or even seperate chanel...) then whack an auto pan on that... Probably a quicker option by the time you've tracked down ur VST and downloaded or bought it..

Yeah just create a fx channel with a good delay and autopanner then you could draw automation if you wish e.g. to speed up / slow down the pan effect before breakdowns.

A ducked delay could be good and would help keep vocals free from the effect until finished then it could raise up in the volume. Leaving you free to add another send to a clean delay / reverb without pan on it.

Its called gravity, each delay takes longer than the one preceding it.
So we're looking at a (ping pong or auto panned) ducking delay with a gravity setting as well. Have fun trying to set that up.

No not pitched down (although that would be an awesome addition to this list of delay FX lol) but it takes longer for each delay to start... Hard to explain, but I guess if the first delay started after a 16th the next one after that would start after an 8th maybe, or something like that. So you get the "hit" >> 16th echo >> then after a full 8th you get another echo and so on. Sry if thats confusing. I think gravity may sometimes refer to a lower pitch with each delay as well... maybe...

Might have used Native Instruments Spektral Delay? Not used ut myself but I know it has a massive amount of customisation including modulation of various parameters which could also mean delay time set to a bpm e.g. so may cycle from 32 to 1/1??

Try chaining various fx and even take a send from the fx channel into anoteh channel and really chain some together??
