Question for the Mixmeister Users

I recently updated to Mixmeister Studio 7.0 and I am having a hard time getting used to the new Beat Slicer. In previous versions, I would cut out a measure and then loop it over and over again, lining up each measure as I went if they were out of sync. It doesn't seem to be working for me with the Beat Slicer, any tips on how to do this? Everytime I try it I end up getting a trainwreck.
